Profit Engine

Profit-driven analysis, not just clicks and conversions

The Profit Engine is the AdsProfit module that measures the real profitability of advertising campaigns. It cross-references spend, attributed revenue, variable costs and margin to calculate each campaign's net profit, ROAS and POAS, and compares channels by the profit they generate.

ROAS vs POAS

ROASRevenue / SpendTells you how much you sell for every euro spent
POASProfit / SpendTells you how much you earn for every euro spent

A campaign with a ROAS of 3 can have a negative POAS if variable costs exceed margin. The Profit Engine makes this visible.

When cost data is missing

When the required cost data is missing, AdsProfit says so clearly without inventing profit. The metric stays blank until the data is available.

What is POAS?

Profit On Ad Spend: the profit generated for every euro spent on advertising. Unlike ROAS, which measures revenue, it accounts for variable costs and margin.

Where do variable costs come from?

You enter them in the platform. Until they are available, profit and POAS are not calculated and AdsProfit flags it.

Does it work across all channels?

On every channel that provides attributed revenue. Where revenue isn't available, the Profit Engine says so instead of estimating it.
